High Energy, Infectious Pop-Rock
Since their formation in 2014, The Detours authentic spin on Alternative Rock has garnered them an ever-growing following of fans and critics alike.
Their 2017 debut album marries the band’s diverse influences into an addictive, accessible 9-song LP. The record flows through pop tones and rhythmic punk-influenced riffs, accompanied by memorable narrative lyrics.
In 2019 they took their live energy to the studio to record the Miss Dangerous EP. Recorded live-off-the-floor at Union Sound in Corktown, the album captures the feel of a wild show in a crowded Toronto venue.
Performing regularly at legendary Toronto rooms like Lee’s Palace and The Horseshoe Tavern, the band first cut their teeth playing Toronto’s West End indie circuit and are continually honing their live sound to bring the ultimate live experience to the stage.
“It’s refreshing to watch a band of vagabonds in their early twenties entice even the most indifferent audiences to stand, dance, and shout along. The breadth of their influences instantly drew me to them. This is rare. This is the real article.”
